CVC Sustainable Investments' investment manager is CVC Managers Pty Limited (AFSL 277740).

CVC Managers is also the investment manager of CVC Limited which was established in 1985 in response to the Australian government’s Management & Investment Company (MIC) Programme. The MIC Programme was designed to stimulate the growth and development of the Australian venture capital industry.

The CVC management team has facilitated investment in a broad range of asset and debt classes including listed and unlisted equity investments, joint ventures, mezzanine and mortgage debt and convertible notes. Investments have taken place in all stages of the investment lifecycle across a wide range of industries. Consequently CVC Managers has acquired a broad range of investment banking and corporate finance skills that have permitted it successfully to raise and manage additional specialist funds such as CVC Sustainable Investments.

Key members of the Investment Manager, including Vanda Gould and John Leaver, have been involved in the direct equity and venture capital industries since the creation of CVC Limited. CVC Managers is one of very few Australian investment management businesses to have successfully managed private equity portfolios through multiple investment and business cycles.

CVC Managers adds value to investee companies beyond the provision of finance. In the past, the CVC management team has assisted investee companies in areas such as accounting, taxation, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, systems development and contract negotiation.

The expertise of the CVC management team was acknowledged in 1999 when the Australian government appointed CVC REEF Investment Managers Pty Limited manager of CVC REEF, a fund dedicated to investments in renewable energy under the Renewable Energy Equity Fund programme.
