John Read, holds the following professional qualifications:

• Degree of Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours from the University of Canterbury (NZ).
• Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
• Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Business Background
John Read has been a regular sponsor of early stage company IPOs in the Australian and North American capital markets. He also has significant experience in capital raisings and deeds of private placement for emerging companies in the Australian and American capital markets. He has been actively involved in the public offerings of CVC Limited, Sunland Group Limited, Raptis Group Limited, Monoclonal Medical Inc, Innovax Limited (formerly known as Melbourne Australia Investments Limited) and CVC Resources Limited. He has also managed numerous divestments.

Mr Read has over 14 years experience in the development of portfolios of early stage and mid-growth companies. He has formal qualifications in portfolio management.

He has extensive experience in the identification of investments, the valuation and structuring of investments, investee management, risk analysis, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder relations and divestments.

He is a director of the listed public companies Continental Venture Capital Limited and Macarthur National Limited.

Mr Read has been actively involved in the distribution of products for Tetley Medical Limited in Europe, United Kingdom, Scandinavia and the United States of America.
